Artist Statement
I aspire to conceptually and methodically visualize philosophical theories through my work, subsequently translating them at the intersection of art and design. My research has been centered around the debates in modern philosophy, particularly those revolving around the subject and object. Among these discussions, my keen interest lies in the theories of Deleuze and Guattari, influenced by the work of Foucault. Their theories have significantly inspired me, leading me to explore ways to express them visually, resulting in the creation of sculptural pieces.
My work not only involves contemplation of the subject and object but also emphasizes the endeavor to transcend the conventional boundaries between art and design. This discourse aligns with broader efforts to deconstruct established constraints. Ultimately, my goal is to move away from the notion of a fixed self or object and instead highlight the importance of various modes of truth interacting and evolving. I aim to redefine the concept of the subject, shifting it from being seen as an a priori starting point to a construct shaped by diverse influences.
